Istanbul is characterized by its efficiency and low prices compared to many countries in the world. Istanbul Metro has been ranked as the best metro in the European continent recently, where trains are characterized by regularity, discipline and cleanliness.

 

 The following is a detailed explanation of Istanbul's public transport lines 

Metrobüs

It is one of the services provided by the Municipality of Istanbul, and it is the most important mean of transportation in the city. Metrobus is characterized by its access to several areas from the beginning of the European side of the city in buyukcekmece to the beginning of the Asian side at the station söğütlüçeşme. Istanbul Municipality has a large fleet of 535 metrobuses and plans to raise this number as the number of visitors and residents continues to increase.

 

Metrobus lines

Line 34 Avcilar-Zincilikuyu: It is the most commonly used line, connecting the two areas of Avcilar, which has the campus of the famous Istanbul University up to Zincirlikuyu.

Line 34A: It will be from cevizlibağ station to söğütlüçeşme station.

Line 34C: connects Beylickduzu and cevizlibağ.

Line 34Z: From Zincilikuyu to söğütlüçeşme.

34BZ line: from Beylickduzu to Zincilikuyu.

Line 34AS: From Avcilar to söğütlüçeşme.

Line 34G: The most comprehensive of the first station in the area (Beylickduzu) to the last station (söğütlüçeşme).

 

Metro

T2

It is a historic train that has been in operation since 1871 until the moment. This train is the first in Turkey to connect the most important areas of the Ottoman Empire and was planning to extend. The line was closed for maintenance at the beginning of 2017 for six months, but still works to this day normally.

 

T3

This line connects the most prestigious parts of Asian side of Istanbul; Kadikoy and Moda, characterized by its circular motion that appears on the map.

 

T4

This line connects Topkapi and Salam Mosque in Sultan Ghazi area in the north away from the center of Istanbul. It also connects Topkapi with yeni mahalle, kabataş, sağmalcılar and edirnekapi, and provides great transport accessibility to the residents.

 

Marmaray

Marmaray connects the European and Asian side of Istanbul by train and extends partially under the Bosphorus Strait, from Halkalı station on the European side to Gebze on the Asian side. The line reaches much larger areas within the European side of Istanbul, including the famous Aquarum, Floria and Kucukcekmece, The Asian section, through Osman Ghazi, pendik and kartal.

This is the largest transportation project in Istanbul now. Investments have begun since a period around Marmaray line, and property prices are rising in these areas. The importance of the large transport line that it will be easy for all residents to move in Istanbul.

 

Teleferik

The cable car service is provided by the Municipality of Istanbul, where there are three lines of transport by cable cars as follows:

F1: to move between Taksim and kabataş

F2: connects between Karakoy and Beyoglu

F3: connects seyrantepe and Istanbul's famous commercial center vadi Istanbul

 

 

Ferry Lines

The service is provided by the government of Şehiriçi Hatları, inter-city lines and the private sector, which has been able to utilize and invest in this field. Shipping is known to be a less expensive means of transport. You will find the most enjoyable experience in Istanbul when you make a trip to the Bosphorus Strait or even when you move naturally between Istanbul, Yalova, Bursa and others.

Havaistanbul

The new Istanbul Airport (IGA) Administration, in cooperation with the Greater Istanbul Municipality, has equipped 19 points of departure from and to the new airport via 150 buses to facilitate the movement of passengers in different areas of Istanbul. The M11 metro line linking the new airport and the Gayrettepe metro is expected to open at the end of next year.The buses points will be available in the following areas:

Otobüs

These buses reach all areas of Istanbul. This service is comprehensive where you can stop the bus at any of the stations located on most streets.

 

Minibüs

Or minibuses, most with yellow color. It used to move between neighborhoods within the city and they are characterized by the speed and effectiveness.

 

Dolmuş

This is a traditional means of transport, similar to service cars in some of Arab countries, but the vehicle is a little larger and it is air-conditioned and organized and even sometimes has a surveillance cameras.
