Property sales in Turkey to foreigners in the first half of 2019 were about 19.952 houses, the average amount paid per house is $150.000, achieving a sales volume of about $3 billion, and an increase of 68% compared to the first half of the past year.
This is a new record for the real estate market in Turkey, and this great prosperity has been achieved in line with the facilities provided by the Turkish government to foreign investors, including the amendments to obtain Turkish citizenship, where the price of real estate investment that allows to obtain Turkish citizenship has been reduced from $1 million to $250.000.

Istanbul ranked among the top cities in Turkey in the sales of properties to foreigners in the first half of 2019, with the number of houses bought in Istanbul about 8.900 houses.
The city of Antalya came in second place with sales of 4.963 houses, and Ankara came in third place, with sales of 1.111 houses bought by foreign investors.
Iraqis maintained their top position among foreigners who bought homes in Turkey, where their purchases in the first half of 2019 amounted to be about 3.337 houses, followed by the Iranians on the second place by buying 2.202 houses, followed by the Russians with purchases amounted to 1.264, followed by the Saudis who bought 1.094 houses, then the Afghans bought 987 houses.
