Obtaining Turkish citizenship for foreigners
According to the changes made in the implementing regulations of the Citizenship Law announced in the Official Gazette published on 14/1/2017, Turkish citizenship will be granted to foreigners:

When buying a property worth at least 250.000$, provided that the property is not sold for three years.

When investing at a fixed capital of at least 500.000$.

For foreigners who show a document proving that they have deposits in the bank worth not less than 500.000$, provided that the deposits remain in the bank for three years.

For foreigners who prove that they have bought bonds from the state, provided they are not sold for three years.
What are the required documents to obtain Turkish citizenship in general?

A petition of (VAT-3) type, obtained from the places designated for applying for Turkish citizenship.

A copy of the applicant's passport, translated into Turkish and certified by the notary, then by Qaim Maqam, and if the applicant is without an official ID from his country, he must show proof of that.

Children under the age of eighteen must bring their birth certificates if they were born outside Turkey, and it must be translated and certified by the notary and then by Qaim Maqam, and if they were born in Turkey, it is sufficient to bring the birth certificate that is obtained from the hospital along with the birth certificate obtained from the Nufus Department.

In case that one of the spouses does not review to obtain Turkish citizenship, a document of approval for that spouse must be presented, translated and certified by the notary and then by by Qaim Maqam.

* Important note on the ratification of documents issued outside Turkey

All documents issued outside Turkey must be duly attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country from which the document was issued, and by the Turkish representative in that country (Turkish Embassy or Consulate).

If it is not possible to ratify the Turkish representative in the country issuing the document, it must be ratified by the representative of that country in Turkey and ratified by the governor after translation and ratification by the Notary.
